The Ministry of Manpower sent out a statement Wednesday to remind the public that Deepavali will fall on 27 October 2008 (Monday) instead of 28 October 2008 (Tuesday).
The Ministry had earlier issued a press statement on 26 April 2008 regarding the change of date following the availability of the Indian Almanacs.
