BEWARE of this new twist to the Nigerian e-mail scam, warns a Stomp contributor.

In her e-mail message to Stomp, Angelina said that her father had been searching bulletin board Craigslist for an apartment.

He came across one that looked like a really good deal "for an apartment at the Icon condominium in Tanjong Pagar".

However, when he contacted the homeowners, he realised that they had embellished their advertisement with details taken from legitimate listings, and tweaked them to suit his needs.

Angelina reminded those who are house hunting to be careful of such scammers.
