Two wooden crafts collided in the Buran Channel, near Pulau Brani on November 30, 2009 at about 10.25pm.

SC 1175H was carrying ship stores and headed towards Eastern Petroleum A Anchorage from Penjuru Terminal when the accident occurred.

There were no reported injuries from the incident.

The three crew members and one passenger on-board were transferred to a passing craft before it eventually drifted and sank outside the channel area, activating the self-releasing marker buoy.

The other craft, SC 0485A, had no apparent damage and is pending post-incident inspection by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA).

MPA has marked the sunken craft, SC 1175H with an isolated danger marker buoy and has broadcast warnings to vessels to stay clear of the area and to navigate with caution.
