One to two thousand protestors in front of Tehran university

TEHRAN - One to two thousand protestors have gathered in front of Tehran University, which is close to the site of a mass rally planned on Saturday, a witness told AFP.

And police fired tear gas and used water cannons to break up the crowds gathering near Enghelab Square, the site of the rally, the witness said.

The witness said number of Basij militia were also deployed around the rally site.
