Mention a tuition teacher and an image of a neatly dressed, well mannered undergrad will probably be the first thing that comes to mind. How would you react if you found photos of your child's tutor clad in a revealing bikini posted over the Internet?
Some 20 pictures of a woman in a skimpy bikini were uploaded onto a Singapore online forum recently, causing much debate amongst netizens. Their main concern was not so much that the photos were too racy, but because someone claimed that the woman was a tuition teacher.
A forum member posted the link to a page advertising tuition services, supposedly posted by the same woman seen in the photos.
The ad stated that the woman has 3 years of experience as a tutor, and teaches students at the primary and lower secondary levels. She coaches students in English and Math, and also claims that she is able to teach Tamil as a second language. According to information found online, she lives in a condominium in the Whampoa area.
Attempts by a Lianhe Wanbao reporter to contact this woman have so far been unsuccessful. Thus, there is no knowing if the woman in the photos and the tuition teacher in the online ad are one and the same. The next time the reporter accessed the online forum, the photos had already been removed.
Netizens' comments
"She has a good figure, but she is not pretty at all!"
These are some of the comments that were posted on the online forum following the posting of the supposed tuition teacher's suggestive photos.
In general, there was a mixed reaction to the photos, with some netizens saying that she is good looking while others commented that her features were too masculine or that she was too dark.
However, there seemed to be one point that almost all the forum users agreed on - that her figure was very good.
Were the photos doctored?
It seemed that the photos on the online forum were not posted by the woman herself. A netizen who claimed to be a friend of the woman in the picture said that she was not even aware that her photos were being circulated online.
Another forum member pointed out that the woman's head was not in proportion to her body in one of the photos, suggesting that the pictures might have been doctored.
