SEOUL (Reuters) - U.S. diplomat Christopher Hill left Pyongyang on Friday, finishing three days of talks where he tried to convince North Korea to abide by a disarmament deal and end its plans to restart its plutonium-producing nuclear plant.

Hill returned to Seoul in the afternoon by car through the North-South border, an official at the U.S. Embassy in Seoul said.

He is expected to then brief South Korean and Japanese officials in Seoul on his attempt to reach a deal where secretive North Korea would allow in inspectors to check claims about its nuclear program.
