BANGKOK - Vinythai PCL, Thailand's second largest polyvinyl chloride (PVC) producer, said on Tuesday it would cut PVC production capacity and shut some units due to the economic slowdown.

The company told the stock exchange it would reduce PVC Suspension production capacity by 25 percent from 253,000 ton per year and would shut down PVC Emulsion production, which has capacity of 27,000 ton per year.

The reductions would run from this week until further notice.
