A nude experience
If the term "nude jewelry" alone is enough to pique your curiosity, then you might be brave enough to wear it. Not around your neck, your wrist, or your fingers, but on your bare, naked skin.
Your body is his canvas, and he will lovingly adorn it with gold and precious jewels with the passion of an artist working on a masterpiece. From ancient times, body painting has been used for a variety of reasons - hunting, religious ceremonies, rituals, and military purposes such as camouflage - but Japanese Nude Jewelry Artist, Nobuhiko Akatsuka, is pushing the boundaries, revolutionising it as a sensual, stylish, fashion statement Body painting is not a new art form, but the use of gold and jewellery on bare skin is a fairly modern and unconventional expression of body art. But unlike a tattoo, Nobu-san's work - while temporal - is not just cosmetic. The sensual experience of having gold and jewels laid out on bare, exposed fleshwill leave a lingering sexiness that extends beyond just a few days. While this experience is not yet available in Singapore, Nobu-san's local collaborator, Cupid Jewels, will hope to be painting the town gold - very soon. Check out the vodcast and more photos.
