WRITER-DIRECTOR Jack Neo's slapstick-with-a-message movie, Money No Enough 2, has struck a chord with Singaporeans.

After a month in theatres, it has earned $4.05 million, placing it third among the top three highest-earning local films ever.

This is in contrast to the poor performance of the highly-anticipated 12 Lotus.
