KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia: It was touted as one of the must-watch concerts of the year and true to the saying, Hong Kong songstress Sandy Lam did not let her fans down.
In fact, she exceeded expectations and the time limit of 12am.
The 43-year-old had the 8,000-strong crowd eating out of her hands, as she moved them to tears, got them on their feet and had them screaming for more even after the fourth encore.
She ended up having to come out one last time to urge the passionate audiences to go home.
Along the three-hour show here on Saturday night, Lam's voice flowed effortlessly through moving ballads, fast numbers, Mandarin and English classics (A Lover's Tears and I Swear) and Malaysian compositions (It Wasn't Meant to Be).
Meanwhile, old hits were given new, edgier arrangements.
Organised by Marctensia and UCSI Communications, the Kuala Lumpur concert was the last leg of her tour which covered cities like Macau, Guangzhou, Melbourne and Toronto.
