SEOUL: The ruling party in South Korea is seeking to speed up legislation of a Bill to regulate the Internet after a top actress apparently killed herself over malicious cyber rumours.

The body of Choi Jin Sil, with a rope made out of bandages around her neck, was found in her apartment about two weeks ago.

Dubbed 'the nation's actress', the 40-year-old had been accused of harassing an actor to repay a loan she had made to him. That actor, Ahn Jae Hwan, killed himself last month.
