S'pore ready to help free hostages
PM Lee writes to Indian leader to offer condolences to the family of victims. -ST
By Bertha Henson, Associate Editor SANTIAGO: Singapore has offered India whatever help it needs to secure the safe release of hostages in the Mumbai attacks, who include one Singaporean. Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has written to his Indian counterpart, Dr Manmohan Singh, to offer Singapore's condolences to the families of the victims and the hostages. Singapore officials are already in touch with their counterparts, he told Dr Singh in his letter.
