The songs have been ready for over a year, but the album is still not released.

A Singapore-born rising pop star in Taiwan, Alicia Pan, is now suing her recording firm here for failing to release her new solo album.

Pan, who has featured in CDs with Taiwanese stars A*mei, Jacky Cheung and eVonne Hsu and appeared in local hit sitcom Phua Chu Kang, claims the firm has not released the album because she declined to sign a new contract.
