IF YOU are thinking of watching the month-long World Cup at your favourite kopitiam, you had better check it out first.

For only a fifth of the 800 members of the two biggest coffee shop associations in Singapore will be telecasting live the South Africa football extravaganza, which kicked off yesterday.

This is in stark contrast to the last World Cup in 2006, when most of their members boasted live screening.
